When looking for tradesmen to build my deck I went through some battles and disappointments; People who didn’t listen to my brief, people who charged me for their quotes, people who quoted double what I had to spend. Eventually I found an excellent and most helpful Draftsman, who upon hearing my story of woe, offered three suggestions for builders.
I met with the three builders and decided on Glenn. When I told my Draftsman who I’d chosen, he said, “I’m so glad you’ve picked him, because he’s the one I would have chosen”.
From the start and throughout the process, it was so evident that this fellow had integrity. He had pride in his work, he had empathy for my situation (what I wanted to achieve and how I wanted to achieve it), he didn’t make any promises he couldn’t fulfil. He set a price and a date and he stuck to both, he told me his schedule in advance, he talked me through Council Approvals and went above and beyond with service. Along with his side-kick Scott, he offered experienced thoughtful advice, he was communicative, polite and respectful on my property and with my family and friends, and his worksite was always tidy. All of these fine attributes are evident in the end result.
I’d never met Glenn before, and haven’t seen him since, but I have sung his praises and recommended him to many people. He gave us a beautiful living space and enhanced our lifestyle, my children and I have quite a few times since, sat on our deck and smiled about what a great crew Glenn & Scott were, and what a great job they did. I think a person would have to go a long way to find a better person to work on their home.
